The Sea - By Jatin - Guest writer for March ππ
The sea is a moving caricature of the tumults of the human mind
It takes me back to the glacier of the past from where I began,
Unmoving, and frozen in time
And it takes me to the unseen and unknowable banks of the future
Moving ever onward, never ceasing even in the face of the greatest boulders
It remains constant.
When all is eroded and broken, water flows through
As a silent companion, an assurance of the end that meets us all someday
Many try to stop the flow of water
Or break it into uncountable small streams
They think they are won, that the water is conquered,
But in vain.
The greatest dams bow to the roar of a flood,
The mightiest cities now crumble in its wake
Flowing water stands for many things, from the indifference of Fate to the unwavering determination of Man
It represents so many elements of the human psyche, yet of it we know so little.
And that is what amazes me no end.
